thinking about adding a little bit of style (and wieght) to my track slag.

what are people thoughts on smooths the arches and rub strip in?

    anyone seen it done?

if you mean making the arches and bump strips look like they are moulded to car as in all one panel sorta look then i have seen it done and imo opinion it looked great, only problem is after a while it will start to crack especially if ur on the track otherwise it looks really nifty

hmmmm thats what i was scared of it cracking

Depends where you get it done mate... You get what you pay for really....

apprently the bodyshop round mine has a very good reputation...

but i was thinking DIY lol

i dont like it and it would crack very quickly especially on a track car.

    waste of money imo

yeah im not a fan of it.. seen a couple on here.. takes away the lines of the car..

if you're gonna do it, go for metal welded arches, and remove the rub strips

but thats what i want to do, so dont do it

As said will likely crack on a track car. I smoothed bottom line of rub strips in on mine but left top. See my thread for piccy's

looks really well on a road car, but for a track car, i think it wouldnt be worth it as the stress from the track will cause it to crack

in the process of doing mine, not easy mod to do as people have said due to cracking, best bet is welded arches as said already if its for track use, mines road use and i've already had t go back over it as theres a small crack appearing from motorway driving.
