Door Pillars

Well, today i decided to remove the black tape on the door pillar as it was blistered bad and was starting to annoy me. After a couple of hours and a couple of sore fingers later, i had it off including the glue (with the aid of the mothers hairdryer and nail polish remover) I prefer it off, what do you think?

I found if you keep the hot hair from the hairdryer on it, the glue went soft which made it easier to rub off. Each person I've spoke to who has also done it has had different problems, some glue just wouldn't come off, some peoples glue came off with the tape as they pulled it. I was recommended 'sticky stuff remover' by someone so might have to get myself some of this for whhn I get round to do the drivers side.

Im not to sure on removing mine to be honest as I think it goes well with the tinted windows. But it looks great on your car though matey.

The main reason fot the existence of that tape was to make the car look better,cause of the continuous black from the front to the rear which made it look like one part.If you leave it like this your car will look like 1,1 5d(no offense guys). I had the same problem with you.So when i removed them i took a black mat colour spray and painted them my self(piece of cake and low cost).Tape the area around it scratch it a bit and shoot!Otherwise there are carbon look covers for our cars.They look nice,but more expensive solution than painting.Don't ask Citroen for another tape.It is more expensive than the carbon and you will have the same problems.Don't leave it like this

erm look at your door between the two bits of glass, thats what you looking at. yours will have the shitty stick on plastic stuff that citroen didnt seem to fit properly on anyones car and he has removed it to reveal the paint underneath
