Exhaust Blowing, losing power and using more fuel

   My exhaust is blowing just before the cat, My vtr is absolutly drinking fuel like hell would this be the cause? and will i be losing any power because of this? Cheers Craig

   It will be causing it to drink fuel because the cat is sensing too much air wich in turn causes the engine to ram more fuel in and be all to cock so yes the performance will be down

   i would have said yea, you would be losing power. Less compression i think?!

   normally, get 250 from £20, lucky to get 200 now mine started blowing

   jack the car up and check if thecat has failed by tapping it and listening or a ratling noise from the cat, it may have failed.
