hi people i wanna get a new exhaust for my vtr but i only really want it for the looks not the noise, sad i know but i do alot of long distance motorway driving, is this possible? next question is; at the minute my car sits on 17” alloys but on standards suspension and to be honest it looks like a monster truck, i wanna lower it by 35mm front and rear, would this take alot of arch work?
    thanks.

id say you would need arch work done....i dont know how much, but you will need to....why not buy 16's or 15's? then you can lower by 35-40mm like you want.....

as for the exhaust....most the decent brands will make some noise...magnex, ashley, scorpion.....there isnt really a 'quiet' exhaust i dont think....correct me if im wrong

I've had magnex systems on two of my saxo's. I also do a lot of long distance driving and found the magnex to be fine even at motorway speeds, especially if you leave the cat in. I found it to be a bit raspy with a bypass pipe on.

Also had a scorpion system on a vtr and that was a little louder.

are the savage backbox's fairly quiet then? ideally i would like to keep the 17's as i only bought them around a month ago with highest brand tyres fitted which cost me a fair bit. which i dont think i would get my money back on if i was to sell them for 15's.
