    does anybody have or heard of the free powr units for engines. i think gmc do them but havent heard much of them before and wondering if there any good. cheers peeps

    only heard good things about the freepowr units, apparently the first units didnt work very well but these ones they redid themselves and have only heard good about them

    they stop the alternator at high revs so the battery power is concentrated on powering just the engine. therefore more power. Something along those lines.

    pretty much what alex said, on full throttle the unit activates and cuts power from the alternator allowing it to spin freely and allow the engine to get maximum power.

    the unit only works on full throttle and has a built in circuit to monitor if your battery is getting low (unlikely) then the unit will stop working until the battery is safely charged again
