Exhaust Uprated Rubbers!!!! Question???

  1. #1
Are the powerflex ones shorter than standards or just stronger???

would like to know as i would like to raise my exhaust a bit so i require shorter rubbers.

    any help will be repped.

    Cheers.

Are the rubbers ok, ie not perished? My advice would be to get two large jubilee clips, place them round each rubber and simply tighten until you've got the exhaust sitting how you want it.

the rubbers are fine i just want to use uprated ones to bring it up slightly.

i would rather pay for the uprated rubbers than bodging it so to speak and using jubilee clips.

    cheers anyway.

    repped.

alot stronger, the standard ones stretch which made my exhaust hang lower, mine sits better now and doesnt bounce round half as much but still used a cable tie on one of the hangers to get it sitting better
    still worth the buy.....
Check my thread think i put the link in there for the hangers on one of the more recent pages.

I've jus fitted them and they make a nice difference too the stance of the backbox

Check P.16 of my VTR thread.

yeah the powerflex are 9mm shorterr!! I measured when i fitted mine. Made a hell of a difference, alot stiffer too..

my exhaust sits pretty bad ive had to tighten one side with cable tie's atm until i can get it sorted this weekend.

i bought vts exhaust mounts rather than vtr as they are the same size but twice as thick thus making them stronger and more sturdy to account for extra backbox weight.. i would recommend powerflex though as mine still doesnt sit correctly on vts rubbers.

ill be purchasing some powerflex either online or from halfrauds! family discount!

The powerflex are just better alround the carry the extra weight of a stainless system and stand up to the elements alot better such as gritty roads in winter whereas the rubbers will perish and crack the powerflex ones are made of poly propoline a type of plasticy rubber and they cope with heat alot better hope this is helpfull to you
