1.4 transplant

Hi, I have a 1.1 forte and I am wanting to drop a 1.4 lump into it. Thinking of doing it myself but was after some contacts in the london region to do it for me.
Got GMC`s number and web address but scotlands a long way really!!!! Also, after the swap I will be uprating cams and remapping. Has anyone done this to their 1.4 and how does it go?
Mine is already lowered and vtr/s front brakes so stopping isnt a problem now I got rid of the wafer discs!!!!

if thinking of cam and remap of 1.4. you will be looking at getting VTR power, or around that area. So it may be worth going straight to VTR engine. Will be cheaper too Id say.

My local garage/mechanic will be doing my engine drop Im thinking (prob as Im too lazy really)Just ask your locals and see if they can attempt it for you.

I know its going to vtr power but I just fancied doing a 1.4 lump up.
If I go for the l.4 lump does this mean I can have power steering now???

aslong as you get powers steering pump, all nessecary wiring and ancillaries with the 1.4 engine then yes you can.
