Decided not to polish cam covers

  1. #1
Thought today was the day i was going to polish my cam covers on my vts, removed them and started rubbing down and was looking good until my polisher packed up, thought i would use an electric polisher rather than a cloth on an electric sander but th bloody thing just stopped working.

Anyway, since they were lovely and smooth i decided to spray them up in gloss black and then do the centre plastic cover in a different colour, thought it would be cool to try and get a similar colour to the badge and this it what it turned out like, what you all think.

What Paint and how much prep did you do to get the finish?

most of the prep work went into rubbing the cam covers down cus was going to polish them up, rubbed the centre plastic cover with abit of 1000 grit to smooth it up abit, 2 coats of primer, rubbed them down, 2 coats of paint then 3 coats of heat resistant lacquer to finish them off.

Just fitted them now, look ok i think.
