    I have a Mk1 blacktop vtr, im fitting the supersprint race system on wednesday, which will obvioulsy de-cat, Ive just been reading up and saw that someones engine management light came on because there lambada sensor needed a sleeve, will i need to do this?

    If you have one lambda sensor, the nyou just screw it into the manifold, and all is well.

    If you have 2 lambda sensors, then you need to plug the one nearest the engine into the manifold, and the one after the cat is just left out,but might want to secure it somewhere with some sort of metal cover over the end.


    I would guess yours would have 1 as it's a mk1 - but not 100%

    Its only the 01+ 3plug 98bhp vtr that needs the sleeve.

    hmm this could be the reason my engine light has been on for months, bought my mk2 with a standard mk1 zorst setup. only 1 lambda socket and the other is cable tied up with no sleeve?!?!

    if i got a cover would this possibley solve the engine light?

    Which one is plugged in?
    The first should be in the exzorst, with the 2nd reading clean air (sleeved).
