debadging

    can i debadge my vts myself?as on my mates old saxo the badges were holded in by some kind of screw and its leaves a mark.?

    or do i have to take it to a bodyshop to debadge and filler the scre things and spray it?

    help please.

    u can debagde it yaself but im told ya need to take it to bodyshop/garage to get the holes filled and sprayed up - estimates are about £100 onwards.

    back badges have holes behind them side16v ones peel off woth hot water,

    yeah i know i can do it myself its just the holes that are left afterwards.

    how crap i cant afford that. will just leave the badges on till i can afford it then.

    if the cost to debadge is too high why dont u take the badges off and spray um same colour as ya car? Alot cheaper

    im in the same boat as you James - i cant afford that kinda dosh at da mo either but why dont ya t-cut them to look black as thats pretty cool and wont cost ya much do it.

    gunna try do mine wkend coming.

    i want them off as im going for the euro look and want it all smoothed. just did my wiper.

    i totally agree with you - didnt even use the wiper neway so made sense plus its better look eh - lol

    i really need to get my rear demister sorted as i had to the switch removed as its was messing the fuses up somehow!

    i justsaid same thing on another de-bedging thread...i debadged mine myself....take off the badges..get someone to weld a penny behind the wholes n then use a filler primer to fill in the little bit of dent left behind and then paint it....
    ive had it done bou a year now and ive had no leaks no cracks nothing....
    costs bou 20 quid

    i t-cut the 2 bck badges n took the 16v ones off 2day. it looks so mch better without the side ones

    my gf filling mine and spraying haha 11 quid per tin of paint n bout 3 quid for filler
