How to fit aftermarket rev counter

  1. #1

Set the rev counter to either 4/6/8 ( depends on what cylinder )

You will have four wires from the rev counter.... black/green/white/red

1.. Earth put that anywere you like ( airbag ecu near the gears ect )

2..Green wire goes to diagnostic socket near fuse box splice into the the grey signal wire.

3..Take the white wire from rev counter and splice into the brown illumination wire from the back of the cigarette lighter

4.. Red wire from rev counter goes to a positve live feed from the ignition switch..

Thats it .. not hard .......

install Apexi RSM previous, retrieve the RPM signal
like Gary do. the mechanic retrieve the Vehicle
Speed Signal from somewhere of the dial connector
    too.

ok, so i need some help.

im trying to wire in a Apexi RSM into my saxo vts 03 plate. From this little feed im guessing if i pull my speedo and rev counter out and get to the wires behind, i can cut into these to get the readings i need?

so cut into the rev wire for revs obviously and the same for speed. anyone have any idea what colours they are? also, where would i take power from for my live feed to power the RSM?

    thanks in advance!

    Power:
4.. Red wire from rev counter goes to a positve live feed from the ignition switch..

    Signal wire:
2..Green wire goes to diagnostic socket near fuse box splice into the the grey signal wire.

A multimeter is a good investment for finding power/earth wires
