new part for Exhaust

finally getting round to sorting me exhaust system out, I got a Mrk1 1.1 and fitting a Peco Big Bore 2 back box and De-cat, was getting it done last month when the mechanic said that id be better off getting a new part that connects the engine to the exhaust, if i were to fit the De-cat is there any difference in performance or loudness ?

yes to both. Maybe he means get a new manifold?
Not required, but it is a good idea.

any idea how much they should cost ?

not sure who maked them for a 1.1 but somewhere like powerflow should be able to make you one!

wouldnt bother not worth the money on a 1.1 if you ask me. Lot of money for not a lot of gain

put the decat on by all means. Manifolds are expensive especially if you wanted a stainless one and unless your origional one is rusted through which is unlikely i wouldnt bother replacing it
