Cold air feed

Whats the cheapest/easiest way to get some cold air comin into my induction kit? Only way i can think of is to get some air con ducting and run it from the lower grille to the induction kit. But i dont really wanna waste my money on that if i wont feel that much difference?

    Any other ideas?

I usually see it running from just above/next to the radiator but the air con duct would be a best bet!

y not just use the air feed pipe that was already there in the first place? thats what i did, then used some flexable tubing to direct the air right onto the kit. seems to work gd enough for me.

With how that induction kit is placed i would not be surprised if you are losing performance over the original kit.

The reasoning behind that is the pure heat saturation its going to be receiving at the back of the engine bay, being an open kit, and having very limited moving cold air flowing towards it.

I would suggest using part of the original intake kit, or using 600mm flexi pipes to try and direct air.

The best bet would be to extend the induction cone closer to the front of the engine bay using tubing.

    Good luck with it.

We sell the 600mm flexi tubing for £15.99

Yeah, i know im losing a bit of torque.

I tried using the original cold air feed for a bit, but didnt notice any difference. Might try and do something with it again. I think i might get a Green forced air induction kit when ive got a spare £225!

You would notice alot of difference. It depends how serious you are about having performance.

Take your bonnet off and twist the induction kit so it faces upwards (actually thats a bad idea) lol

i fitted a ind kit yesterday and my cone is not far from the front of the engine bay so lots of cold air hitting it and wat a diffrence its made and it sounds really good just put it on flexy pipe rather than using parts of you old plastic pipes it will work better if the cone is getting direct cold air to it

id just wait and get a fully enclosed one such as bmc, piperx viper etc.

I put my standard cold air feed on and directed it into the cone (compared to just leaving it in the standard position as i did before). Its made quite a bit of difference!

Anybody know how a Green direct induction compares to the BMC enclosed one? I want something that will sound good as well as make it go quicker.

Im leaning towards the green one at the mo as im thinking it will make more noise?

correct. Green is louder, Im unsure if either have been thoroughly tested against each other (apart from when lax flower kind of did it) but from alot of decent reviews of the BMC is what swayed me to getting one.
