what paint??

   hi guys. planning on sparaying my alloys black, but which paint do you recoment i use? and where do i get it from?
   ive been told just to get hammerite from halfords.
   But if they do better paint elsewere ill get it.

   For wheels?? Wouldn't touch wheels with hammerite, i once brought a set of wheels to refurb and they looked like they had been painted in hammerite, the worst finish in the world and a nightmare to get off. I have used the spray cans when i do them or the little pots of paint with some thinner in a spray gun.

   Just the little pots of paint and spray cans i got from a motor spares shop. The only thing i would use hammerite on my car is for the calipers. I think it was just a normal spray paint. If you ask in there i'm sure they will be able to help, can't actually remember what it was called.

   halfords own mate, just make sure you take your time and apply it right

   yeah as above, leave it overnight between primer and first coat and let it all dry properly between coats.

   yeee i will do, dont want a rushed bodge job. il stick the old wheels on till the new ones are dry.

   Your going to need “wet and dry” sand paper, primer, paint and laquer.
   
   Sand them down with the wet and dry paper
   Make sure there clean and dry
   Spray a coat of primer and leave to dry
   Quick sand down with wet and dry again
   Primer x2 times
   Paint x3 – 4 times leaving to dry inbetween each coat
   Laquer as many times as you can
   
   to do four wheels your going to need a far few cans of paint. id say somewhere around 4 cans of primer, 6 cans of paint and the same of laquer
