customising the centre consol

   hi every1
   
   thinking of customising the centre console and other bits like air vents etc etc.
   
   Firstly - i kinda prefer the silver look (av green sax) - opinions?
   
   Secondly - wot spray do i need - is it easy job to do?
   
   Thirdly - or shud i just buy the set already sprayed on ebay? lol

   hey.
   =firstly take it our and put it in some hot water with soap! (making sure u dont leave bulbs or connections on it)
   this gets rid of sprays etc.
   = then get sum wet dry 1200 paper all over it!
   = then prime it up, few coats
   = paint a few coats of colour, i used gloss black and then lacquered
   if u want a pic just ask
   
   maybe a dark metallic black for yours?
   and go to halfords for paint

   any specific type paint / laq i will need for this job?

   just plastic primer, your choice of colour, clear laquer will do the trick perfectly

   Get a clear lacque from halfords and just any black that takes your fancy

    tbh darker colours look best i had mine the same colour as my car and it was way too much so i painted them rover charcoal grey and look a hell of a lot better

    easy if you know what your doing
    
    dials were just two wires then rest is plug and play, live to sidelights and the earth to an earth, easy peasy and a multimeter wll help you a lot
