Oil Filter?

    im quite new to this so im hoping to get some feedback
    saxo 1.4 furio
    i have a raceland 4-2-1 manifold with supersprint centre section and since i have had this system put on when the im on rev limiter every now and then, the oil light flickers very slightly , i kno this is a bad thing but ive herd it could bea loose connection where the engines vibrating so much. but i want to change the oil filter over. when i bought the system they said for me to put a 1.4 westcoast filter on my 1.4 furio. shal i do this or can i put a VTR oil filter on?
    i am having piper cams put in soon so will need a better oil filter.

    when you say you have the furio it must be the mk2 block. have you still got your mk2 filter housing on?

    Yup as mark is asking, if you have mk2 oil filter on, you need to switch to a mk1 oil filter.

    Here is the info from Kam Racing..

    This Raceland manifold is designed for use with the Mk1 models. To fit to a Mk2 Saxo you will need to convert to a Mk1 oil filter and will need the following parts:
    # Oil filter insert - Citroen part number 1103A7
    # Mk1 Oil Filter - Citroen part number 1109N3
    # M10 Tap
    # M10 Screw (to block oil return hole)

    yes its the furio mk2, it still has the mk2 filter housing.

    this is what im trying to find out mate. how has he fitted a raceland manifold on a mk2 block without relocating the oil filter.

    there was some talk on RR of using a R5 filter housing but dont know if it worked

    the whole point in changing the oil filter to a mk1 one (in your case 1.4 westcoast) is to the manifold will fit on. with the mk2 filter housing the manifold wont fit on. if they did manage to fit the manifold some how with the mk2 parts on then i cant see it been long until the manifold melts the filter.

    have you got any pics of the manifold mate?

    i can get some pictures m8. the engine has ran sweet as a nut since its been fitted, the manifold do not interfiere with the oil filter at all. i have had the manifold a good 6 month now

    yeah mate pics would be mint. really want to see how they have fitted it without relocating the oil filter.

    You sure its a raceland?

    Could be a Supersprint if you still got the original MK2 filter housing?

    i have not yet got pictures of the oil filter and how they fitted the raceland manifold without changing the filter, but when buying a new oil filter i found out that my saxo is rite on the borderline of when they changed the type of oil filters in the year 2000. because when i put my reg number into the computer to get the rite oil filter for my car, the bloke gave me a completely different filter to the one i was replacing. my oil filter is a blue metal cased filter . fort id get back to ya m8

    Mark, it seems its one of the mk1 eninges in the mk2 shell ,with the spin on filter .So there should be any problem
