The cams are fast road-power band 1500-6000, 9.34mm lift,262deg duration,full lift at 110 deg.
Are these good cams?

#2depends what you want byt a 263 duration isnt a hugely wild cam.
but 1500-6k is a drivable powerband for roads -
#3I think they are a longer duration than 708s for example, as 708s are 256deg. However, they don't has as much lift, 708s have 10mm I think.
The powerband is odd, as the 708s would probably be advertised as having a powerband of 2000 - 7600. 1500 - 6000 seems like the 8v spec!
-
#4That's nowhere near sufficient lift in my opinion, they may work well on a turbo or supercharger?

From Kents website listed at PT51s -
#6If they are pt51's they arent to bad cams!
-
#7Thats not to bad then.
-
#8Well if your going to go standalone then it may be better at looking at a different set... But what budget you looking at?
-
#9Upto 1k atm, I want standalone to sort out the fueling then look at other cams in the future, cant afford to get it all done at the same time.
-
#10I use Piper cams on my vts, seem to do there job well enough, ide keep the ones you have for the time be in....
-
#11if you go standalone though you are going to be paying to have that mapped.
then if you change cams another map.
its more cost effective to not do that.
sell ur pt51s and fit another set yourself. -
#12Out of my experience fitting cams.
I'm watching the RCD Ecu, Due to the price i think it's better to get that than a standard with remap, plus they will map it for free with changes to the engine etc. -
#13if both in/ex 's lift are 9.34mm it should be PT50 not PT51, 708 will output more power than PT50 even PT51 do, but 708's powerband will not going to 7600 unless you got heavy mods.
