how to polish cam covers on my vts?????????

i want to polish my cam covers on my vts and i dont know what products to use. ideally id take them off to do this but because they are such a pain to seal again im going to do it while they are on the engine and just take abit more time and effort.

ive heard you can use brown sauce to get all the paint etc off to get the bare metal because it has acidic properties in it but i wanted to know if there were any proper products i could use. im guessing you use something to strip the paint and crap off then start using metal polish to buff it

no, mine didnt have paint on for some reason but the alloy is really coroded (black bits in it)

soak em in nitromorse. / paint stripper.

that wont harm anythin else in the bay like plastics or wires will it?
