centre console

    i tried removing it, ive removed three screws so far and unplugged most things, i have a problem however the hearting adjustment piece, i cannot get this off....

    i need the console off to be sprayed silver! anybody know how to remove it without damaging it...??

    you mean the two sliding parts to adjust the heat and air flow? Just pull the centre console and they'll pop out ok.

    thats what i do, undo the screws and pull the console out, the two tab bits just pop off as you remove it - they then just push back in after you refit the console

    theres 5 screws to remove the centre console

    that would also be true, the one at the bottom, two half way up on the underside and two the the switch level on the end behind the blanking plates.

    Missed that point completely...

    where are the 5 screws?... i looked and there were three, 2 under the radio or something and one at the bottom?

    If you can imagine where the swithes are for your hazards and rear de-mister, on either end of that row there is an odd shaped plate, remove that, and there is a screw

    cheers man i was pulling the console earlier nearly was going to break it, was getting fustrated over nothing

    will do it tomoorrow when i get up in the afternoon

    You'll need a flat head screwdriver or something similar to prise off the plates. After that is the same size torx screw behind.....

    yeah just use a small flathead screwdriver and flick them out

    how do you remove the cigarette thingy behind the console? its a pain in the arse! lol..

    well unplug it

    if your wanting it fully out you basicallve to take it fully apart, theres a small screw inside, take that out and work from there but you will have to trip it till you get to the green plastic ring that illuminates then it will come out

    ive unplugged it i was trying to take the whole thing out! my bad i realised it like 2 seconds after i posted it man

    spraying it and will post pictures in progress thread when ive completed spraying it and put doorcards back on
