Hey, just wondering how easy it is to fit one of these kits and where the best place is to mount the ballasts. I'm thinking of getting the purple hids so it matches up with the car for shows. Any help much appreciated

#2There not road legal to retrofit to halogen lamp units. Even E marked kits are not so. This is as the E mark only applies to its approved application. Putting purple HID in will be a dead give away that they are fitted. I should also add that the higher the light temperature the harder it is to see in adverse conditions such as rain, sleet, snow, mist and fog. Also higher temperature light is a lot more dazzling to the eyes. In so doing you will fined it harder to see when you look out of the bright spot of your lamps and so get tunnel vision. Even just to pass a light test with them in you will have to aim your lamps down and well you understand what that does. But even if you pass the test your car is still not road legal. Now to answer your questions be careful of some of the cheap systems out there are some are very poor. GPR sell quality kit at a good price. You can call them on 0844 880 1750 or see there web page www.gprdirect.com They can also provide information on the legality of these systems as well. -
#3Ahhh ive seen this video do you think they chose a car that has a very poor beam pattern as standard anyway? I bought a couple of the HID conversion kits today on http://www.midnightstyling.co.uk as they had the colour I was after. I have been told the kits on here are as good as if not better than the HIDS4U kits. I'm not too worried about the legality of it as the car is mainly for show use and basically for the looks. To be honest I'm sure theres a few things on my car that should really be changed to be road legal, like a ridiculously loud exhaust
Managed to scrape a discount code out of them for the forum in case anyone else wants them to get 10% off their HID Conversion Kits.
