Ive been speaking to a couple of people, and have come across a problem with Saxo rear axles. Something to do with the stress lowering puts on it over a certain amount, it has been causing the rear axles to break. Apparently there is a massive waiting list at a lot of citroen dealers and scrappies for replacement axles. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on what is a safe limit for lowering and what the technical reason for it? cheers for any help!!

#2most people say dont go lower that 40mm and get it lowered properly not by notches

#3If its done properly it shouldnt matter how low you go.

#4thats the problem, even if it is done properly, there is something to do with the stress of lowering put on the rear axle that causes a weak spot to buckle, just wondering if anybody has any knowledge on the subject?
