engine vibrating

   my vtr has suddenly developed a really bad vibration its definately the engine and its not the engine mounts when your sat in the car the whole thing is vibrating badly. has anybody had this problem before or know what it could be.

   does sound like the top engine mount mate, had exactly the same problem.

   i have a similar problem developed so hijacking this old thread. Mine went in for clutch replaced at Mr Clutch. They also skimmed the flywheel etc.
   
   Now the engine vibrates between 2000 and 2500 revs. Either side it dissappears. I can feel it through the steering wheel and also through the car body generally. It happens when driving and also stationary with and without the clutch depressed. Its strange how its only started doing it since they took it to bits. What could they have done to cause this?

   i replaced my gearbox mount and now have vibration in mine and its pretty noticable between 3k and 3.5k where the trim inside rattles??? im flumeeeeeexed

   mines got the rear poly gearbox mount but had this before they took the gearbox off. the vibration isnt massive, just very noticable from before.
   
   What could they have done hat would cause the top mount to fail?
   
   (im also going to check they tightened the mounts up properly!)

   sounds like the same thing as me mate. Even stationry if you rev it to the 'vibration point' it does it. Makes no difference if clutch is in or not, or even if driving. Its something linked with the engine speed, not car speed.
