hmm Pi or Gmax... think i'd go gmax .. although its like looking at 2 frogs and trying to work out which is the most handsome
  5. #5
i would buy the brand new gmax

    never heard of Pi before

or pair of Eibachs of Kamracing if you double your money

havent got the funds to be honest mate. could look at getting a set of second hands could go to 50 quid. isit worth the extra money?? thanks. chris

and will 30 make a big difference? want it low but not too low? and want less body roll of course?
  8. #8
if your gonna get them, go for the Gmax ones

Eibachs give good ride comfort but there £80 but worth the investment

30mm wont be that noticeable as springs need time to settle in

it will give you better handling as the springs reduce body roll

i would buy both.. as neither will last long so you can use the other set as a replacement!

    Problem solved

so its worth getting the expensive ones? any second hand ones??
  11. #11

tbh the way i see it is.. if you buy cheap beans they taste like shit.. if you buy a cheaper ebay supercharger kit you can guarantee its shit!

You get what you pay for, And IMO its def worth saving up for a decent set
  13. #13
Dez ,is right!! you shud pay bit more and get some good lowering springs...not some cheap ebay ones.....
  14. #14
Save your money and get a decent kit, fuck being a cheapskate when it comes to important stuff on a car.

How do you expect to have it fitted and the rear lowered on that budget? Unless you can do it yourself.

try to find some second hand Apex springs.. Or perhaps some 2nd hand Eibach sportline.. Bilstein used to use Ventura springs in their sprint kits and they are cheap and decent quality too

good springs - they do crop up and it does make a difference.

no 40 quid is just the price for the springs. I have been quoted 180 to fit the springs and lower the rear torsion bar.

yeah just give it time mate and keep your eyes open

to fit the springs and lower torsion bar i dont think you should be looking at much over £120ish

  24. #24

I've got PI springs on my car, ( to my disgust, the garage switched my koni 35mm ones for PI 50mm ones, long story)
There not bad i suppose but there really hard every bump on the road is a bone cruncher now. I would save up and buy a set of springs and shocks, thats what i did.

koni or spax??? are either of these any good?? unsure what 1s to get. both at a drop of 40mm?
