head gasket parts

   hi
   
   i am going to change the head gasket on my 99 vts next weekend and was wondering where i should buy all the parts from?
   
   http://stores.ebay.co.uk/PERFORMANCE-PARTS - sell's the gasket set and head bolts but looking at the feedback i am not sure if they will deliver in time? Has anyone else used them or could suggest anywhere else to get them from?
   
   Also does anyone know where to get a cambelt and tensioner from, obviously euro car parts and gsf sell them but there must be somewhere else cheaper online?

   the cambelt is about £70
   bolts £20 posted
   
   
   best price ive found by about £20
   
   got my ebay shoppin list in my ebay of all the above and other parts for my VTS conversion.

   Any reason why your changing the gasket? Has it gone? If so are you skimming the head?

   Head gasket is on its way out, skimming the head is not always necessary, so maybe not!
   
   I have just called euro car parts and they have a cambelt and tensioner for 100 quid? Anywhere cheaper?

   You should replace the following
   
   Cam Belt
   Headgasket (duh!)
   Head bolts
   Ide/Tensioner
   
   All that lot will be around £100 from your local motor factor, imo there the best place to get parts from!

   I have ordered all the parts now, i ended up paying about 140 for all parts delivered.got a head gasket kit rather than just the gasket

    My brother's just bought that kit for his saxo (although the 1.4 kit) and it looks okay to be honest, not sure about the ACTUAL quality of headgakset, but looks okay.
    
    I told him to just go for citroen headgasket, headbolts etc. but he's skint so, only time will tell if it's actually a good quality kit.
