manifold

   I put a piper manifold on my VTR which also acted as a decat. If i get a phase 2 VTS will i be able to take it off the VTR and put it on the VTS?

   No, 16v manifold have a different stud formation

   On the subject of manifolds i have a standard one at present with the cat attached - can i get an aftermarket performance manifold but still have a cat?

   it does fit because thats what i have put on mine, and it seems top make helova difference
   
   But if you have the 98BHP engine it will decat it as the cat is on the manifold/downpipe

   Hmm i don't want it decatted as i want to pass an MOT is there another way round this -some exhausts have a cat do they not?

   Yes as said get a system from a MK1 this will have a cat in the centre section as opposed to the downpipe!, then you can get a new manifold

    Dont bother mate, its a ball ache MOT time. Plus you have to buy a Mk1 with a CAT that actually works which the one i bought did not. Im happy its done but if i was in your position id leave it.
