Stuff HID!! What About These??????

hey guys, ive ben considering HID but its all illegal this and illegal that blah blah cos they scatter the beam etc etc

    so ive come across these.....

Now i no it says that these are not road legal still etc etc but with the HID the problems are that it scatters the light, but these are designed for standard halogen headlamps but just run at a higher wattage thus obviously putting out more light, and tey are not very expensive either!!

would this not be a better option all round really???

    comments and views please guys!

    think ill be gettin some!!

In many ways they are better than hids yes but you got a real problem that you will end up drawing to many amps for the standard wiring. If you try and run to bigger watt you start having to rewire your car to make it work with out it over heating or even bursting in to flames. Some of Those bulbs have a brighter low beam than most cars high beams are. This will piss a lot of road uses off and if the police pull you it will not be good. You will not pass a MOT with them in as well.

I've had some of the 100w RIng SPortzblue bulbs. Had them a while and never had any problems. Still yellowish, but not as much as standard.

i think they look quite good.
Interested to hear other peoples points of view and opinionms on them first though.
desperatley looking for a legal way to have bright bulbs up front. Bright white.
however if it means having illegal ones, if they are safe, i may give them a try. can always swap back to originals for MOT

Why do you want brighter lights? Standard ones are more than adequate. Buts saying that you could get a set of lights with a extra driving lamp such as morette headlights and then just wire up a extra set to your high beam. Then at least your not dazzling anyone. You could also do this by adding a extra lamp hidden in your grill or the like.

more than adequate if you wanna be the same as every other road user, but im sure everyone would agree that the hid/xenon look is alot better than standard. Its not jus having brighter light, the look is much sexier!!!!

just get HIDs and do it proply!

Iv been stopped, and actually asked the police man what he things, he said aimed at the ground, they look like the light the road better than a normal bulb dazzling ppl. and also dont dazzle when aimed down, so he doesnt see a problem..

Good 55W bulbs can give more light than cheap 120W bulbs.

I had 100W in a 106 and the loom was getting very warn. I would not recommend going that high. I did have 120W in a AX once and the loom melted and shorted out everything.

I had a phone call today regarding the maximum fine for using these over powered lights on the public road and the maximum fine is £1000
