I am after a 60mm drop but want a full kit, what should i expect to pay and i want a decent kit. Got a 40mm KW kit on my car at the moment but the shocks are quite soft, can i just get a 60mm set of springs and use them with these shocks? Will it make these shocks a bit more firmer or will they just be the same?
    Cheers

dont think you'll be able to use 60mm springs on those shocks!they'll be too short id have thought! id say you'd be looking at £350 + mate.

It depends entirely on what kit you are after.

If you are currently runn KW which are an awesome make you dont want to be moving away from the quality products like:

    Eibach
    KW
    Avo

However then your problem is that they do not do 60mm kits or springs.

Only P.I and Gmax from my references here do the 60mm springs then you would have to match them up with a different set of shocks.

We currently run the full avo kit with the 60mm spring option and we have no problems.

What sort of deal could you do me on a full g-max 60mm kit? Are these quite solid shocks (not much movement so wheels shouldnt rub to much)? as i am running 17's? P.S. had all arch work done. Cheers

shocks dont stiffen the car, springs do that, the shocks only control teh rebound, and basically at 60mm down you are not going to get shocks that can stop themselves bottoming out, you can get as stiff and short as you like they will bottom out unless you get ridiculously hard sprigns made

Scott that is partially right, but i must admit. From standard shocks at the back to Avo dampening adjustable set to ultra hard the difference was incredible.

    The difference was:

    Standard shocks + 1 person in back + 18" wheels = scrubbing
Avo shocks on ultra hard + 3 people in back + 18" wheels = no scrubbing

The full Gmax kit is just £205.00 chap.

thats true but its false economy, your uprating the shocks to do the job of a spring, which its not supposed to do so the shock is working harder than it was designed to do and "could" shorten its life

Good price! Got a price for a PI set today of £240 fitted but is this a good kit or is it not very good quality?
What would happen if i put 60mm springs on with my current KW shocks? Would this work?

I would personally put 60mm springs on your KW shocks. I can do you the springs for £55 delivered.

PI... I can do you the PI kit cheap, BUT i REALLY REALLY wouldnt recommend you put that on your car, heard way to many bad things.

KW are good shocks, moving away from KW, Avo, Billies, Eibach i think would be a bad move for you.

Cheers mate you have just saved me a packet hopefully!! What make are the springs you can do me for £55?

well to be honest the only companies making the 60mm springs are PI and Gmax. So either of them.

You will find Eibach, Avo etc.. only manufacturer up to a 50mm drop because they focus more on the handling of a car and not on its looks.

What would you recomend for a 1.1 wanting to lower by 45 - 50mm.

Dont the VT suspension kits lower by different amounts due to the weight differences.

Its a 1.1 so a mid performance kit for average price, dont need anything high end like kw.
