silver vtr - interior opinions

I shall be getting the 106 leather interior, i havent touchedthe interior since ive had the car, now the exterior is gettin somewhere i shall make a start.

Any ideas/pics etc what i can start doing? i thought about vents/consol colour coded silver... or do ppl prefer standard black, any images off people who have coloured them?

Should i do a silver/alloy looking interior or something different like blue? ie for vents/gear gaiter/knob/mats.... hmm im stumped for ideas..

    Bold colours look tacky

keep it subtle with a graphite/gunmetal

i like the speaker cover done as well - not sin that before. i think i shall just buy some plain carpet mats to, as i havent got any yet. someone told me to get metallic silver ones but unsure. u just use standard car paint? primer and laquered i take it? cheers

Just get some standard black mats.

silver ones/aluminium effect ones look tacky.

I got the parts off, sanded them all so they were nice and smooth.

masked up the glovebox (i only sprayed the handle)

wipe with paint thinners to clean it all.

Then add 3/4 coats of primer in light coats. leave a good 20mins between coats.

then its best to leave it over night to allow the primer to dry or at least an hour.

then add 3/4 coats of paint. leaving a good 20min between coats.

You can add laquer/clear coat however i didn't.

    REMEMBER......dont ever rush painting.

apply thin coats, you can always add more but you can't take it off.
