Exhaust, De-Cat. Piper.

   Right. I want to fit the 4" Slash Cut Back Box From Piper to my 1998 Saxo VTR.
   
   For best performance i understand i need a good 4-2-1 Man. Though im still bit confused about the bits in between. Have Read the FAQ,s just need some more advice.
   
   Question. Can i De-Cat it and take out the middle box or will this affect performace?? Whats the best set up for me?

   yeh if u de-cat u will get more performance as the gases are gettin out the car faster, get a raceland or supersprint 421 mani, i wud recomend a supersprint centre section too

   ok thanks, would the supersprint centre section have a middle box in it or would it be a pipe from the cat to the back box?

   ideal. i always thought that with no cat and no middle box that would affect back pressure and make performance worse. though ill trust you

   yeah think ill de-cat first and see how loud it is then take out that middle box dont want to give my self a headache everytime i drive

    dont get me rong it sounds amazing but if you get a long noise drone within a gear its a bit annoying after a while lol vibrates the whole car a bit lol well mine does

    I'm in the same boat as you, I don't want a noisy car, something that just burbles abit but I do want to decat and 4-2-1 it. Guess the two don't go together.

    I know they don't look great on Saxo's but coming from the Peugeot side of the fence, the Pug Sports are a fantastic exhaust. They've got no cat in them and give the perfect noise - quiet when you're being sensible and raspy when you floor it. I prefer that to some of the more drony/boomy back boxes IMO

    and piper 4" slash b/b
    
    sounded awsome!!!
    not over the top loud
    
    defo an increase over the standard system tooo

    I don´t agree, I think the manifold is better the one made by raceland, it has better steel and in the inner part it´s done a lot better than ss...don´t get me wrong ss is really good, but raceland is a little bit better and it costs the half!
