a old school mate has challenged me to a race, i told him once my car is ready i will race him.

he has an FTO i think its the 1.8(125bhp)

so what can i do to get more power out of my VTR?

    thanks,

    Paul

Obviously at Knockhill on a track day !!!!

VTS lump - £450 and fitting
    Cams, remap £500ish
induction kit and full de-cat with mainfold etc etc £200ish
lowered 40mm with upper+lower strut braces for better handling also good tyres such as toyo tires thus outcornering him easily...

otherwise its going to be very very difficult to beat a FTO standard... hope this helps, a very simple answer and expensive

It will happen on the Sax-P network of private roads and motorways. A network so secret they are not even shown on maps and their owners are unable to say where they are.

You can borrow my 200SX lmao

Well good to see its on a racetrack

    VTS lump obvs needed
    Race spec Exhaust system
    Decat
    manifold
    Cams etc etc

    Its not always about power

    Strip your interior
    Toyo R888 tyres (more grip)
    Decent suspension setup (handles better)
Decent brakes 306 GTI-6 (mine lol) so that you can brake later

i had a mk2 vtr with a straight through exhaust, 4 branch, filter, lowered and stripped inside and i kept up with a focus 130 all the way to 110mph. So its not all about power mate. i wouldnt just vts lump it for a race lol

should own a 125bhp fto with a standard vtr.
  9. #9
Aparently the fto does 0-60 in 10.6 seconds....

Just stick with what you got. Stip the arse out of your interior. One seat and no dash FTW!!!

well i wasn't going to race it on the streets, im not a retard for gods sakes. lol.

i think he was banging on about crail a straight line 1/4 mile shin ding.

i dont really fancy lobbing a VTS in it just to beat him lol

i was hoping for modifications for the VTR?

not a BIG fan of bodykits on the 200's as they tend to not stay on long depending on what the setup is, drift spec?
