Piper Cam 285

    Hi People,

I've got Piper Cams 285 in my VTS and a Dastek chip, do i need to upgrade anything else to get full power out of my car ? I've sent this because sometimes i can be going down the road and then the car will pick up speed as if it had a turbo which it dont, could this be a problem with my fuel pump or something ?

yes, enclosed induction kit, full exhaust, decat and manifold, then get it rempapped again.

The cams have a tendancy to have not an awful lot before a certain rpm, then as you say they come "on cam" and the power starts.

Its doubtful there is a problem

    Hi,

I've had all that work done already, the only other problem i've got is it does not take much for my car to stall when coming to a stop for some reson and its not my driving ha ha, the rev arm go belows the main mark on the dial and then comes back to the idle point again but sometimes it does not come back and stalls.

to get the best out of cams i would suggest getting headwork done, ported and polished and gasflowed.

Second that....think that last thing is a big valve conversion. but polished ports is a great start.

Jimmy, get a nice T3 turbo
