post me a piccy up bud , i was under the impression that the temp sender is on the throttle body on the mk1 silver tops and only on the airbox on the black tops

no mate they wont as there is a filter inside them. its not just a pipe straight through to your throttle body

ok mate cool, n btw my saxo is not a mk1 its early mk2! and vtw i mean the air intake pipe that connects to the filter itself,, i sucks cold air from the bottom of the car up threw the filter. so surely its gonna suck up alot of leaves n that? even water??

It might suck up leaves and abit of water but that's why you have a filter inside it, cleans everything. I've got the raceland one, just either mount the sensor inside the air intake or somewhere else, i doubt it's that accurate anyway.

na probs not mate lol i dont even no what the sensor is but i want it all legit. i dunno.. im sure ill find somethin 4 it

yeah but it has the later mk1 engine, and as said the whole reason you have a filter is to filter all the crap. so dont worry about it just clean it now n then.

yea ok mate, but there are substantailly better than the normal cone ones??
  13. #13
theres one of ebay for the early mk2 its 86 pound and easy to fit or halfords do a green one for 80 pound called p248 either one both open filters a sound the balls

to be honest most or all induction kits give a very small increase in throttle response, and in bhp terms about a couple of extra horses. combined with manifold decat and the rest of the exhaust then it all works together giving in my opinion about 8 to 10 bhp. i run a green enclosed with a full manifold back and the power is different than standard but not by much. the viper kit you are looking at are loved by some and hated by others, i much prefer to have the green or the raceland but thats just my opinion. just go with the flow.
