    As above really...

I wanna know everything about the best fluid, the best MC, what caliper/disc size I can get away with, any griding required......everything really.

    Cheers

    406 MC (23mm i think)

with the 206 GTi Brakes, no grinding or anything, just fit with a few mm to spare

    IMO

Will I have issues with the fact my VTR has ABS as standard?

I'm told this is rare as fcuk.

shouldn't think so, the 406 MC come both with ABS and without ABS. Pretty sure it would be fine?

as long as you get the ABS MC off the 406.

the disc size would be 266mm from the GTI but you can also get the 266mm setup from a 306 S16, 306 xsi, berlingo (not 100% sure though), 206 hdi (again not 100% sure)

...you can use your ABS without problems, here in Italy it´s tested on 266 and also on 283...you don´t have to take the other car Abs...I cannot explain you in English why but I will try it anyway...the Abs of another car isn´t stronger of yours, it´s setted that when he recognize that the wheels are stopping it comes to work, it doesn´t matter wich brake calipers you have! Because if it wasn´t like this if you put a better discs and pad on your standard caliper it would activate itself before the wheels really stops!
And I doubt that a 406 Abs would fit perfectly on your car...
    I hope you understood me!
    cheers

^^iirc correctly the 406 MC is slightly bigger but will still fit. if you ABS then imo it would be better to keep it. one of the main reasons why people fit the bigger MC is for better pedal response (ie, firmer feel).

the abs on a saxo works off the hub so the disc ect is not affected by it
i had to reaseach this for the wilwoods on my vts as i was unsure
but it basically means you can use a non abs set up no problems
