    i have a phase 2 98 bhp modele saxo
as u know the cat is on the down pipe of the manifold

would it work 2 my advantage if i put on a phase 1 manifold which as u also know has no cat on it?!!

    any opinions please!!!!

not 100% sure it would benefit you mate, think it would be the same if you used a mk2 one?

    nice username by the way

Hmmm. Its an awkward one that..
I think the MK2 have the oil filter in a slightly different position and the MK1 manifold would foul it.
also, the MK2 2 lambda sensor holes and the MK1 has one in manifold and one in downpipe, from what I remember?

Remember reading about someone doing it once, but I think they made up new threaded holes for Lambda, then plugged up other one. Alot of work in other words.. And also means relocation of Oil filter .. Not worth the hassle really.

i have a mk1 gmc manifold, it only has 1 hole in it for the lambda sensor and its right at the end of the manifold (cat end). i had to extend the wires for the lambda sensor.

To be honest decatting a saxo does next to nothing in terms of power increase. infact its been proven to reduce torque!! Get a gmc manifold you wont regret it! loads of power and torque and it looks sweet too!!
