Raceland Induction/Airbox Query

  1. #1

ok, i have a saxo vtr 00- my standard air box has 2 pipes connected to it! one for the oil breather and there is another bigger tube connected to it and the other side!

raceland intakes only have the pipe for the oil breather so.. is it safe to leave this other tube disconnected? i dont even no where the tube goes, it disappears under the throttle body. im sure im not the only person with this problem, i have a piperX foam filter but even that didnt fit... really want a raceland but dunno if its safe so can u please help maybe tell me what this other tube is??

    cheers guys

I connected the rear pipe to the connection on the Raceland and fudged a pipe from the crankcase breather and made an attachment into the silicon hosing! Not sure this is the proper way of doing it but ive had not problems!

i see, so u put the fat pipe on the raceland and made an extra pipe for the oil breather, looks smart mate, i might have to buy some extra silacone hose tho. whats did u make that attachment from??

some clear airline tubing from B&Q and some plumbing joints it was only ment to be temporary but its been fine! for the joint in the hose i drilled a hole and pushed the plumbing attachment through from the inside with a rubber washer either side to seal it! heated the airline up in hot water an streched it over! i got the VTS raceland which was a bugger to fit but i think they have VTR ones now!
