ECU/Loom question

   Apologies if this has been asked before!
   
   In the process of putting a silver-top VTR engine in a 2000 1.4 Furio. The ECU is different from both cars, as is the multiplug it connects to. Will the 1.4 one work with the VTR engine?

   Why? I'm not too clued up on Saxo engines and the ECU's.

   ecu has a different map for 1400 and 1600 engines due to different cam profile etc...

   But would it work until I could source a new loom or get the 1.4 ECU mapped?
