Pi55ed Off!! *gear Gaitor* ANYONE KNOW ONE THAT WILL FIT?????

hey guys! im abit pi55ed off to say the least!

been out fitting my new gear knob and TRIED to fit my new gear gaiter as the original saxo one was ripped, but could i hell get it on, as im sure you will no there is a little frame which clips in and holds it down, but my new one was a little thicker than the original and the frame would not push down what so ever!

The new one is now usless as i tried to put holes in so the clips could go through etc etc!

Does anyone no off a way around this? or a gear gaitor which actually fits on??

or is it just a better idea to go to citroen and get a new original gear gaiter etc?

    Help please guys!

Exactly the same problem with mine. richbrook gear gaitor is it?

Oh how did you guess! yea just a richbrook gaitor which came with some metal adaptor for the top, but no way in hell would it ever fit!!

Bit narked to be honest!!! Although my richbrook blue led gear knob went on perfectly but the original gaitor wont fit around the top so sits below the gear knob, showing the actual stick!!!

lol. i got the metal bit that screws onto the knob and you can slide the gaitor on that. i think the std one would fit but its abit short so it would look silly. i want to fit my richbrook one. but to be honest until i find a way of fitting it without getting one of those chrome gaitor surround things i'm going to leave it off
    lol

Yea well my richbrook one is now in the bin might just have to go along the lines of buying one of those chrome surrounds and maybe spray it black!

i had a sparco gaiter on my old mk1, twinned with a richbrook surround that i painted. easy enough to fit. if you just want another standard there is always some on ebay.
