Question

I've recntly changed my stock headunit for a more powerful one and am looking at getting some new speakers, is it possible to do a straight swap with these,Frontand Backones for my orginals, or do i need to change the speaker wiring at all?

you dont "need" to cahnge the wiring, the citreon wiring is pretty shoddy though so maybe something for future thoughts.

Personally i wouldnt bother with the rear speakers at all. The speakers you have chosen there are pretty good but if you can afford to, put the money from the rears and get the component version. A little more tricky to fit but the difference will be astounding.

fronts will straight swap,ya best bet for rears is to pull the wires from standard speakers and get some 6x9s in the parcel shelf and use those wires from rears.good choice of speaker tho bud.do you go m.k cruise?

wicked guys, scott can i still use the citreon wiring if i get componenets then, to get from my headunit to the crossover?

can anyone recommend a gd 4 channel amp at all either?

yes you can still use teh standard wiring, it will need extended but you should get a ridiculous amount of spare wiring in new speakers.

As for get 6x9s, they should be burned in hell. Forever. No need for rear speakers in a saxo least of all 6x9's. If you really want some rear speakers redo the rear speaker panels to take some 13cm coaxials or again components but fade them out a bit to minimise dragging sound stage back.

ok will do, thanks for the advise guys
i think im gunna go for Infinity components in the front and just some normal 10cms in the the back , then get my sub once i can find myself a gd amp

If you are going to be looking for a good sub i have got 2 x 12" vibe which sound awesome, but if you dont want that much bass i would have a look at the 10" or 12" vibe which come with its own amp.

definitely spend out on some Infinity 13cm components for the front. I've fitted them (straight swap for originals) and they sound excellent. Think they're 5000cs or something.

I took Scott's advice about no rear speakers and it seems to have worked out for me. Just got to balance the fronts properly now !

wicked, im def gunna get some infinity speakers for the rear as they sound pretty gd, but i'll def. look into getting some components for the front i think
