I did it the other day, 5-10mins at the most, i used the gromit that was in the boot floor Lol!!

Mk1's are easier than mk2's due to not needing a puller.

Most i have done ive needed one. Just buy one from halfords then take it back when done

i didnt use one on mine or my mates mk2.
just go carefull with it as you dont want to smash the rear screen

Thats why i used one just to be safe. It was on other peoples cars and didnt fancy a nice smash

had a bit of bother gettin the arm off. ended up putting the nut on the end of it again, then got vice-grips. nudged it, she just popped right off. used grommit from the boot. 1st class job
