Is saxo vtr gearbox the same as 106 1.4??

   Hi the gearbox on my saxo vtr went and i have been searching online for a new one. I have found 1 near me although the guy selling it says it came from a 106 1.4 but that t is the same gearbox as on the vtr. Just thought id check here first before i get a nasty surprise when i come to fitting

   MA casing the same different gearset and different diff so irc will need diff shafts

   No its not, the vtr is the longest box and has totally different ratios.if you want your car how it was then the vtr box is the only one to go for, but if youd like a bit more acceleration then go for a gti/vts box

   no im looking at getting it fixed then selling the car so need to just put it back to how it was so looks like i need a vtr box
