#2Engine conversion?
Drop a 16V lump in and you'll have 120BHP instantly -
#3my mate has a 1.1. that pretty quick.
hes had full decat exhaust system with 4 branch manifold
ported and polished head and remapped ecu.
goes pretty well for a 1.1, goes on strike in 4th gear tho.
revs really well and sounds awesome.
to be honest tho the amount hes spent it would be more cost effective to save up and buy a VTR/VTS or drop one of them engines onto your 1.1.
that 1.1 106 is for sale btw. pm me if your intested and il put you in touch. -
#4If its an early 1.1, get a decent performance exhuast and air filter on it and it will fly. My mates got a blacktop 1.1 and it kills VTRs with just those mods, completely mullered my 1.4. Well impressed by it. Whether its just a one off or because its got the old style lump im not sure
-
#5mate id leave kitting it up save the money and go for the VTS lump conversion or just plain and simply go out and buy a VTR or a VTS
-
#6yea thats true about the earlier ones decat em and 4 branch they tend to be pretty fiesty wouldnt say quicker than a vtr tho also there is the turbo option that sophia bushs saxo wnt down havew a search round for that thing its mental!

#7well speaking to my parents yesterday and they are more than happy for me to get a VTS conversion but i just want to do stuff to my 1.1 see what they can really get to, i am getting a BMC air filter which is unverisal will this fit my car it is an outlet of 65,65mm will this fit i have also got a magnex back box and lowering spring, but i just want performance what can i do.
-
#8cam a 1.1 id love to see some1 do that!!!
-
#9yeah that will be good for a guy with 1.1 saxoQuote:Engine conversion?
Drop a 16V lump in and you'll have 120BHP instantly
, if he has a 1.1 its probably because of the insurance or his age.
if hes as old as i think he is then if he phones up his insurer and says they it was a 1.1 but Ive but a 1.6 16v VTS engine, hes just gonna get laughed at -
#10Fit this

I did to my 106 best induction kit ever -
#11lmfao.. sophia wins hands down
-

will this go on my 1.1 with very little work or will it be a straight on easy job cheers -
#18if yours is SPI it won't fit, if it's MPI it can be made to fit no problem.Quote:http://www.kam-racing.com/product_in...roducts_id/716

#19how do i know if it is spi or mpi.
its a 1.1 saxo 1998 mk1
if you know please can you drop it in thanks alot -
#20Pic of your engine bay?
-
#211998 will be SPI
-
#22if it's an early mk1 1.1 then it'll be spi, not sure if the later mk1 1.1's went mpi or if only the mk2 1.1's had mpi.
-
#23ok thanks for the help, i was looking at a bmc kit for 153 it was unverisal fittiment will this fit my car...http://www.demon-tweeks.com/products...e=BMCCDA65-130
-
#24again that will be difficult to fit to yours if it's spi. if you look on saxosportsclub i'm sure there's a guide in the engine section which has pics of spi and mpi engines, or do a quick search on here for 'spi' see if that turns up anything.
-
#25where can i get an induction kit for a 1.1 and what make shall i go for, i dont have a price range atm so i will buy anything at the price aslong as it a good one thanks for the help
-
#26hi, is there a way i can change my spi into a mpi, what will this contain and will it be pricey i am intending a VTS conversion, but is there anything i can do to change my 1.1 engine to an MPI engine cheers x
