Loudest Backbox

    Hi guys,

    i've not got my new car (turned out insurance was dearer than i thought on a CTR so went for the civic sport)

    anyway.... want an exhaust system but the one i want is v.dear and i've decided not to get it....

    but i still want a loud/powerful sound that i would get from a full cat back system...

    can anyone recommend a backbox that will sound just as powerful and loud as a cat back system would do ?

    dont really want to spend more than 150-200 at most

    is it the ep3 shape??

    if so i wouldnt bother as there pretty tame,you should have bought en ek9 or even an ek4,they have real vtec.

    Ye mate, it's an EP2 ( which is the 1.6 sport version of the EP3(CTR) )
    ye the VTECs not the best on it lol but its a big step up from my 1.1 so i'm happy with it... lol...

    but i dont want a full system due to ££££ and insurance... but i want the noise, can anyone recommend a backbox that will be just as loud with a nice powerful/raspy sound...

    thinking a jap can or something

    Just wack a cherry bomb on there mate!

    Theyre only about £30 and are about the loudest on the market

    ye but do they sound good... want a powerful sound if you know what i mean e.g... my 1.1 had a back box on and you could tell thats all it was, like you could tell it had no engine power behind it lol....

    saying that tho it's a 1.6 so hopefully it might sound better than the 1.1

    The cherry bombs sound pretty good imo. Better than the likes of savage and rage back boxes.

    They are very deep and they are VERY loud!

    mate was going to get a buddy club spec 3 but it's a full cat back system and there £450.00 plus fitting... lol so i'm not too sure... i can get a second hand 1 for about 200-250 so i might do that, just weighing up my options atm lol

    5zigen do the best exhausts for hondas

    i wouldnt buy anything else and if you hear the one on my mates ek4 you would be watering at the mouth,sounds like a motorbike

    seriously look at them

    Performance modifications don't come cheap man. Maybe have a look at a custom made cat back. I had one on my saxo by this custom exhaust place near me and it only cost me £300. You can also specify what you want it to sound like

    would get a 5zigen one but there dearer than the buddy club one i was looking at. lol.... so thats out of the question... i can get a second hand buddy club sec 3 one so i will preb get that tbh.

    mate for the civic the Buddy club spec is all you can go for just youtube it and u will find out how loud they are

    personally i would never buy an exhaust for a honda that you could get for a fiesta etc....

    i paid £500 for my 172 exhaust + fitted. dont go cheap.
