quick one lads 60mm???

    just a quicky when i get my car lowered i wanna go 60mm but my mate says ill need new dampers etc!
    if anyone has gone down 60mm with or without dampers could u let us no what the ride is like with/without and how much it cost extra with dampers..

    well you can do it with factory fit dampers however dont expect them to last long! I got my spax dampers for about 60 quid and dropped 60mm on spax springs never had a problem.

    im down 60 on the standard shocks, but the car was nearly new at the time, if youve had the shocks on for a long time then definately upgrade them i will be soon

    got mine 50mm at the front on standard and its very bumpy, was gunna go 60 aswell depends if you want looks or handling really.

    60mm is fine on standard shocks. I've had two cars lowered 60mm on standard shocks, both for quite some time and the shocks have not once given me grief.

    look at it this way, if you lower your car 50mm on standard shocks/dampers you have more chance of damaging your car then if you had uprated ones

    thought the general rule for lowering (saxos) was lower than 40mm the shocks had to be upgraded !?

    tbh they should be changed at whatever you lower it mate

    factory fit ones are s**t anyway lol you might aswell hange them anyway if you doing the springs another hour if that to do them

    ok sounds good, ill just get new set fitted with dampers. be about 250qid fitted at r-tec autodesign???

    to be honest mate do it yourself save money for more mods!
