In all fairness - i think that picture was halfway through relocating the battery, as i've still got one of the fusebox lids off. Think it was primarily to show the Rallye inlet, as i'd only just fitted that at the time and got it working.
Engine bay should be receiving a big clean in the near future. New engine is being specced, and i'm very tempted to go for one of the Streamline Carbon rocker covers. On top of that i'm wanting to move the fusebox and KMS behind the glovebox out of the way and tidy up a lot of the wiring at the same time. Whilst the engine is being replaced i'll hopefully rub down and spray any parts that are looking a bit past it - as well as painting the engine block.
And finally - should be a swirl pot, 2nd pump, filter, FPR going in around the area where the battery tray is within the coming months. -
#18and looking at your sig 141 at the wheels is definately faster than me lolQuote:In all fairness - i think that picture was halfway through relocating the battery, as i've still got one of the fusebox lids off. -
#55That looks fucking awesome Lee. How long did that take, and how often do you have to clean it to stay on top of it?
-
#57Might aswell add mine...
-
#59Cheers bud.Quote:That looks fucking awesome Lee. How long did that take, and how often do you have to clean it to stay on top of it?

I sprayed gunk degreaser all over the place and rinsed off with a pressure wash (I always stand back so I don't drown the thing). After drying with a microfibre towel, the slam panel and all painted parts were polished and then waxed with something that lasts like Collinite 476. The plastic parts were dressed with AG vinyl and rubber care - apply with a paint brush and wipe off after a few minutes. I think that's about it.
I try and give it a wipe over every few washes... not done it for a while so I'm dreading lifting the bonnet again haha. -
#60Nice one cheers man. I might lob a load of paraffin into my bay this week and see how it comes up.
-
#64no oil or rust cause of a recent respray u cna see the over stray on the turret tops and on the bonnet white primmer lol mines better now lol

-
#70There's been no bodywork on mine bud - I assume the white areas didn't get a decent coverage of paint at the factory... i.e the underside of the bonnet.Quote:no oil or rust cause of a recent respray u cna see the over stray on the turret tops and on the bonnet white primmer lol mines better now lol
Thanking you.Quote:Loving yours LeeumH, what'd you spray your rocker cover with?? Ive just bought a new one, kinda fancy copyin the colour of yours. It looks soooo clean!
I'm not too sure what colour the rocker cover is - a mate of mine got it powdercoated for me. 'Tis definitely worth getting it done properly as the standard ones seem to rust in no time.
-
#71all looking sweet under the bonnet
