Headlight Advice

  1. #1
I have a problem, recently bought a Saxo, and when fitting some Xenon Bulbs, found out the shiney refective bit in the passenger side headlamp *sorry for wording* That bit made out of metal in the unit is loose *wobbles up and down few inches freely* , and i cant see anyway of making it non.. loose ? The other side is fine and solid as a rock, this might be harder to explain than i thought...

just kinda looking for advice... before i start pulling the unit apart to find out i just had to click something in to place ?

hope some people have a clue what i'm on about... if not i can get some pics or a video up and try and explain a bit more

    cheers for help in advance

nope, can't see anything loose, the adjuster still moves the unit fine, seems looser than the other one tho... this is doing my nut in, cos i recon i will have to remove the unit, unglue it and see inside it, there is just not enough space to see into it, gahhhhh... cheers anyway

twist the ajuster part should turn about a quarter of a turn
then pull out then you should see if its come out of the
    socket

i can't quite seem to get the bit you call an adjuster off, it just seems to keep spinning, and i can't pull it away from the unit... really hitting a wall now

just incase you were talking about the bulb which twists 1/4 turn and comes out, it's the metal refector rather than the bulb... the whole unit with the bulb in seems to move up and down,

the metal bit is held on by a screw isnt it?

took my lights apart the other day and if what i assume you are saying to be correct you a saying that the metal cradle that the bulb sits in is loose then you need to tighten up the screw at the bottom of the metal cradle, it is a small security screw but can be tightened up with any electrical screw driver pretty easy to do mate.
just pull back the rubber gromit on the light casing at the back leaving the bulb and spring clamp in place and on the underside of the bulb there is a small screw on the metal cradle tighten that then jobs a good in.
    hope this helps.
