BMC or green

    Done a search and i havnt found the answer i'm looking for;

i'm about to order a new induction kit for the vts to replace my k&n, but i'm completely torn between what to buy; the green forced induction kit or a BMC CDA?

Which is the overall better one performance wise? They both work out more or less the same price, but the green looks better, and the bmc is carbon fibre.

So which is proven to give the best performance gains?

there was only like 0.# between then when a guy who came to our NW RR meet. Though can't remember which was the better of the two. So tbh i don't think it matters too much.

get the raceland(with green filter) if u like the looks of it, cheaper and same performance, just slightly harder to fit.

yea get the raceland as im gettin the BMC and we can swap if there is ever a meet

    had both

for noise the green is so much better

Green ftw imo, cheaper, looks better, and performance wise there both the same. Say no more! lol.

im gonig to be a sod and the for the basis that my Raceland induction is really awfuly put together it doesnt sit flush with the bolts attaching both heatshields etc, i think its touch and go if you get a good one, which is why im getting a BMC CDA as soon as possible , also the raceland can sound really flat in lower gears.

well i was thinking more of going for the actual green scoop and filter as opposed to the raceland scoop and green filter as i've heard the raceland doesnt sit right. how well does the green kit sit?

id go green. im sure they fit fine. if my old procompe went in there shouldnt be any problems

    preds got one

for the money the green is not a good fit. Certainly we've had enough returned that we don't stock them anymore.. Some model cars seem to fit fine but other people really struggle

I've got a BMC CDA, it is very quiet although it looks nice and I'm sure it is doing a good job... although the bloke that fitted it, didn't really fit the cold air feed part correctly IMO, so I'll be amending that myself once I get some silicone hosing through

green sits fine on my furio...however it has snapped a little from engine movement as its screwed into the slam panel. sounds good though

if you screw the Green to the slam panel you need stiff engine mounts to stop it from breaking. Best to cable tie so there is a little flex.

We have a BMC on the 16v lupo here and it really roars!

bmc for looks and easier fit - imo

get a bmc, they make such anice rumble. Slightly more expensive but definately worth it.

my bmc makes a nice noise but richies green simota sounds awesome and can feel the power kick in at 4k revs in a vtr.
