right seens how this is coming up a bit ill give it a thread
basicly when pug/cit made the vts/gti etc gearboxes they seem to have originaly had very tight shifts but as it takes a bit of gettig used to opted for a longer throw
because they left the original nipple there its very easy and cheap to change over(price of a 13mm spanner)
so here goes,at the back of the bay on top of the box theres your two gear lingages all the ends are attached to nipples now if ya look closely on one of the bars a linkage is connected to youll see an unused nipple.using an open ended 13mm spanner pop the lingage off the nipple and by hand pop it on to the unused nipple simple as that!
go through your gears and youl find you throws alot shorter especially from left to right it may seem a bit to close(i thought so)but it only takes an hour or so to get used to
another cost effective way to shorten your throws is to shorten you gearstick
a bit be carfull not to take to much off though or ya could find yourself lookin like lurch every time you go to change like me
