i have just bought a vtr bodykit and i was thinking of fittn it 2 my 1.1 myself.
Should i fit it myself and spary it myself r should i leave it into a garage 2 get the whole thing done.
    Any ideas?

be cheaper to do it yourself if you've got all right equipment including paint and spray gun etc.

If you feel confident enough then do it. PM willsy for help on fitting the VT kit as he has done one himself

its an easy enough job to do if you know what you are doing.

i would only spray them yourself if you have done it before(and not using rattle cans). if you could spray it yourself then i doubt you would be asking. so i would say take it to a bodyshop.

i was just wondering to c if it would be cheaper 2 get a spray gun and do it urself.. got quoted £250 jus 2 spray the whole bodykit.. which i think is rather expensive

i would say £250 is a good price.

you would spend that anyway buying a compressor and gun and materials. also its not easy to spray pannels. you need to practice and to have somewhere to do it.

I'd maybe fit it on your own but get a professional to paint it, you don't want to ruin it

For the £250 that you've been quoted to have the kit sprayed thats a very good price in my opinion assuming that its a reputable place that does it and the work qualitys good.

Fitting it is a piece of cake though, certainly easy enough to fit yourself.

Ive written a bit of a guide for fitting it- check in the blue box at the top of the styling section where its got FAQ's and its in there.

Let me know if you cant find it
