Head skimming - 1.1 spi

    Hey.

    The headgaket went on a 98 1.1 X that i've got and the head's been for skimming.

    I'm not sure what they've taken off it at the engine centre but when it goes back on is it necessary for a thicker gasket?

    I've bought a standard thickness gasket set and it's pretty much ready to go back together once i've sorted the stem seals.

    Just wondering will the increase in compression start taking it's fury out on seals/valves/gaskets?

    Any help is much appreciated!

    If its just a skim to clean it up, you should be fine with the stock gasket!
    The increased compression should be fine!

    It does look like a fair bit has been taken off say maybe even more than 1mm or there abouts.

    I'm not bothered about the performance, just aslong as it runs i'm happy!

    So it should be all good to go then?
