Cheap carbon bonnet?

  1. #1
Has anyone on here ever covered their bonnet in carbon fire adhesive sheet?

I have got a fibreglass bonnet on mine, which is unpainted, and i would like to cover it the carbon film, but i cant find anywhere that sells it in big enough sheets...

Does anyone know where i can get it from??

for a sheet that big you'd probably have to get it made, so whereever you've been looking, find out who makes these smaller shets and contact em direct. might be a bit pricey m8!

Well ive found some 1m x 1m sheet for £70, but its 1mm thick!! All i need is like a film, so hopefully i can get it cheaper than £70!

But even that is cheaper than getting it sprayed.

You can get carbon-look vinyl on eBay and stuff mate. Might not be bigg enough in a single sheet but if your careful you could line it up nicely i'd imagine.

Costs pennys compared to that stuff you mentioned above too

I thought that, but i dont want it to look shit you see! Id rather get it as a big sheet and just drape it all over the bonnet! It saves cutting and shutting it!

i deal with vinyl everyday mate and tbh i dont think the Saxo would be that hard to do a bonnet wrap on. But i wouldn't recommend on tryin to line 2 pieces of vinyl up against each other because it expands and contracts with heat so ya could be left with a gap. Also if you overlap is by 1mm there would be a visable line.

Well its going on a 205 bonnet, which is pretty much flat, so it will be easy peasy to do. But yes, as you say, it will need to be one big sheet.
